A compensation payment has been made to Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).
The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE to make claims against it.
Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE
On 13 March 2025, $7,645.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE
The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.
Any person who has been a victim of Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE, in respect of an offence for which Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Tyrone Marvin GEORGE AKA Bernie Monty GEORGE
Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
