If you‘re a victim of an offender named in a notice of payment into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account, you may be entitled to make a claim against the money awarded to the offender.
Notice of end of process for making and determining victims’ claims
This is the current list of offenders that have been awarded compensation - surnames A-E:
A compensation payment has been made to Katrina Roma Epiha in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (the Act).
The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Katrina Roma Epiha to make claims against it.
Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Katrina Roma Epiha
On 10/12/2024 $14,800.90 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Katrina Roma Epiha
The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Katrina Roma Epiha until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.
Any person who has been a victim of Katrina Roma Epiha, in respect of an offence for which Katrina Roma Epiha was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Katrina Roma Epiha.
Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
