Juror Satisfaction Survey

Welcome to the Juror Satisfaction Survey (JSS) page. The JSS is an annual survey conducted across New Zealand’s high courts and district courts that run jury trials. Since 2008, the survey has played a critical role in assessing jurors' experiences and satisfaction with the services and facilities provided by the Ministry of Justice.

The primary goal of the survey is to gather valuable feedback from jurors on various aspects of their jury duty experience. This helps inform key decisions to improve court services and ensure that future jurors have a more efficient and comfortable experience.

The survey includes both quantitative questions and qualitative feedback, allowing jurors to share their thoughts on different aspects of the trial process, from communication and court facilities to the support provided throughout the experience.

The insights gained from the JSS are crucial in shaping the future of New Zealand's jury system, ensuring that it meets the needs of the public and contributes to the effective delivery of justice.
