Te Au Reka - Market briefing information

On 10 October 2022 we released the Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage the market and find a partner to work with us in defining, developing and supporting the Te Au Reka Solution.

The market briefing information on this page is presented by representatives of both the Ministry and the judiciary. These videos and presentations describe the objectives and outcomes the Ministry and the judiciary want to achieve through Te Au Reka and provide details about the procurement process for interested suppliers.

The RFP closed at 12 noon on Friday 2 December.

Introduction to Te Au Reka and the roles and responsibilities of the Ministry of Justice and the judiciary

Te Au Reka will unlock new opportunities and different ways of interacting with courts and tribunals.

Procurement and sourcing overview

Note that the RFP closed on 2 December 2022. Also that the timeframes and the Deep Dive requirements referenced in this video were superseded on 19 October.

Process design

We’re looking for a supplier who can provide insights and advice on how court and tribunal processes can best harness the benefits of working digitally.

The digital context

Te Au Reka will be pivotal in bringing about a stronger, more functional and effective digital landscape for justice.

Commercial overview

The Ministry wants to develop a partnership-like relationship with a supplier, that is transparent, open, and based on mutual trust and respect.
