Court costs

If you’re convicted of a crime, you will usually need to pay:

• court costs of up to $143 on each charge
• an offender levy of $50.

Fees are also payable to the court if you request any of the following in relation to a criminal proceeding:

• access to the permanent court record or file
• certified copy of any document
• certificate regarding any matter in the court record
• copying judgment or other documents.
