An evaluation of the Victim Assistance Scheme (VAS) has confirmed the programme is effectively easing financial burdens for victims and boosting their participation in the justice system.
Disputes Tribunal financial jurisdiction set to increase
On 24 January 2026, the financial jurisdiction of the Disputes Tribunal will increase from $30,000 to $60,000. A new filing fee of $468 will apply to claims ranging between $30,001 and $60,000.
