How to appeal a decision of the Weathertight Homes Tribunal

There is a general right of appeal against all final orders of the tribunal. An appeal must be lodged within 20 days after the date of decision at the court nearest to the leaky home. If the amount in dispute is under $350,000 the appeal should be filed in the District Court and if $350,000 and over the appeal must be filed in the High Court.

Appeal decisions

Appeals are taken to the District or High Court, dependent on value. Decisions that are appealed have the citation of the appeal included in the description. Any decision currently under appeal will be marked with under appeal.
